Biography
After graduating from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1984, he began his medical career with a two-year mandatory service at the Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine. He later continued his academic and clinical training in the Department of Urology at the same university, where he completed his residency and became a Urology Specialist in 1991.
In 1992, he spent four months in the United States at the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, where he worked in the Department of Urology focusing on endoscopic stone surgery and urological cancers, participating in numerous surgical procedures in these fields.
Between 1996 and 1997, he continued his international training in the Department of Urology at Long Island Jewish (LIJ) Medical Center in New York, where he was involved in endoscopic stone surgery as well as the treatment and research of prostate diseases.
He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 1997 and became a Professor of Urology in 2003.
In 2004, he was appointed Head of the Department of Urology at Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine, a position he held until leaving the university in 2007.
Between 2007 and 2010, he practiced at Istanbul Cerrahi Hospital, and from 2010 to 2025 he continued performing surgeries at Acıbadem Healthcare Group – Fulya Hospital.
As of 2026, he continues to care for his patients at his private practice, while also sharing his experience and knowledge with colleagues.
